Meet the Team

Our dedicated team combines professional theater expertise with compassionate care to create transformative experiences for our community.

Darrell Wood

Founder & CEO

In February 2013, at age 18, Darrell faced testicular cancer with unwavering determination. After surgery and chemotherapy, he entered remission and underwent a nine-hour surgery to remove 36 abdominal lymph nodes. Emerging cancer-free, this experience became the catalyst for Cues for Cancer.

Inspired by the overwhelming support from theaters nationwide through the #cuesforDarrell campaign, Darrell founded this organization to support others facing similar battles. His talent shines on stage in productions including "Vanya, Sonia, Masha, and Spike," "A Chorus Line," and "Mamma Mia."

Mentored by Dr. Michael John Trotta, Darrell has performed at Carnegie Hall twice and continues to prove that with determination and support, one can not only survive but thrive.
